The 4 apocalyptic Riders
The first 4 Seals in Revelation 6 have 4 horses of different colors: White,
Red, Black and Pale (light greenish yellow).
John writes about ”the things which will take place after these things." (Rev.1:19b)
I believe he intended to say what happen after his time and not what occurs
after the rapture. So there is also no reason why these horses need to be
within the 70th week of Daniel, i.e. within the last seven years
before the second coming of Christ.
The White Horse
"And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on
it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering, indeed
in order to conquer.” (Rev.6:2)
The United States is the greatest military power ever. It is imaginable that
there never will arise a more powerful nation on earth. On the other side, a
power like this doesn’t form overnight, in a short period of less than 7 years,
as other interpretations need to have it. The feature color of democracy is the
white. Despite its mixed population, its founders were white. The U.S. never
fought a war on its territory with a foreign nation. The U.S. is, in fact, “conquering,
indeed in order to conquer” i.e., with superiority to any war power opponent.
The U.S. was founded in 1776!! White is also a characteristic color for democracy.
The Red Horse
“And another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was
granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people
should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword.” (Rev.6:4)
There is no way to not combine this color with communism, particularly in the
former Soviet Union. The communist revolution carries the two unmistakable
features as ”take peace from the earth" and ”people should
kill one another." A normal nation usually fights its foreign enemies but Communism
did massacre their own people, without characterizing a civil war. Conservative
estimates give around 60 million victims; others, 120 million people massacred
by the Soviet communist regime, in addition to the millions of foreign victims,
especially in Africa and China, in implementing, or spreading communism. The
red horse rider, had, in fact, a large sword, though, apparently, is now frail
and in decline. Even so he is in the correct sequence because he came after the
American democracy. However, I believe that the red horse rider, the Russian
nation will still have an important role in the destruction of geographical Babylon:
”For out of the north a nation comes up against her,
which shall make her land a waste, and no one shall dwell in it. They shall
flee, they shall depart, both man and beast" (Jer.50:3) and the
battle of Armageddon ”For they are spirits of demons, performing signs,
which go forth to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them
to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.” (Rev.16:14)
The Black Horse
"So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat
on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the
four living creatures saying, A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts
of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine!”(Rev.6:5b and
6) Look at Africa, which represent well the color of this horse, to prove the
veracity of these brief statements about this horse: Lack of food for the
populace: “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of
barley for a denarius” and abundance to the regents: ” do not harm
the oil and the wine!" Africa has suffered more under the
communist revolutions of the already reigning misery. As a result of this it
even impoverished more. In this sense the sequence, after the red horse, is
also coherent.
The Pale horse
“So I looked, and behold, a pale green horse. And the
name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed behind him. And
authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to
