Armageddon
The battle of Armageddon, to my understanding, will start only a few
days after the ending of the great affliction/tribulation, immediately after
the break in of the day of the Lord. The armies that came to scatter the power
of the holy people did not move out of the region yet when Armageddon starts
and the great army of the rider of the pale horse, the 4th horse, is
invading the middle east from the east over the dried out Euphrates river: “And
the sixth angel poured out his bowl onto the great river Euphrates, and its
water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be
prepared. For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go forth to
the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of
that great day of God Almighty. And they gathered them together to the place
called in Hebrew, Armageddon”. (Rev.16:12,14,16)
The battle of Armageddon is mentioned in Ezekiel as well as in
Revelations. Only in Revelations it receives its name: Armageddon. “And I will judge him with pestilence and
blood; I will rain down upon him, on his troops, and on the many people who are
with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone” (Ez.38:22). And “You
shall fall upon the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops and the people
who are with you. I will give you to the birds of prey of every sort and to the
beasts of the field to be devoured”. (Ez.39:4),
similar to “And I saw an angel standing
in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in
the midst of the heavens, Come and gather together for the supper of the great
God, that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of commanders, the flesh of
mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of
all people, free and slave, both small and great” (Rev.19:17-18)
The Rapture
"These are the
ones coming out of great affliction(/tribulation), and have washed their robes and made them
white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore they are before the throne of God,
and serve Him day and night in His temple." (Rev.7:14b-15a) Who are these? The martyrs of the
great affliction, as some
